Is Analog Devices the first phase 6 that created a new all-time high above phase 4, not once but twice? This is about as close as they get, but there was one major reason to be suspicious of this in real time, and that is phase 2.

We have an established phase 2 with five touch points, and then it gets violated for seven straight weekly closes. It would simply be too generous to redraw it with two touch points, especially due to how close it came to returning to phase 1. That would be a very narrow angle, which is not necessarily a deal breaker if it had more touch points.

In many scenarios, it is possible to trade a deformity with the traditional rules of hyperwave, but that is not always the case. If you decided to short phase 6 as it was approaching the prior all-time highs, like one may be inclined to do with ISRG at the time of this writing, then you would have gotten brutally stopped out right before the major sell-off.

When there are so many active hyperwaves, one should focus on finding patterns that are as close to the archetype as possible because those are the ones most likely to respect the rules.
